Towards 2000's Hottest Club Papas&Beer Discotheque

Bottom Right: Resident DJ Eduardo Topete has been with Papas&Beer for eight years and doesn't plan on leaving anytime soon!

If you've ever been to Enseneda or Rosarito, Mexico chances are you've been to Papas&Beer. Just a short drive south of the boarder on Interstate 5 and you're there get ready for some fun, Mexican style!

The original Papas&Beer is located in Enseneda and has been operating since 1983. A second beachfront venue was opened in Rosarito, Mexico in 1987. Due to the enormous success of both locations, owners Rodrigo and Rogerio Ampudia decided to build a full scale discotheque adjoining the space in Enseneda.

When news of the club reached Towards 2000, we didn't waste any time. T2K designed a magnificent sound and lighting system that rocked the crowd opening night. This creation is one of the many projects T2K has worked on for the Papas staff over the last seven years. He must have a few tricks up his sleeve as he keeps them coming back year after year.

"My goal was to create a space that was pleasing to all the senses while accenting the unique structure of the building," explained the lead T2K Designer. His approach was a definite winner as the discotheque is featured as the "Lighting Spotlight" in the October 1997 issue of DJ Times Magazine, and in Nightclub & Bar Magazine November 1997.
